Advocacy and Leadership
The NIU College of Visual and Performing Arts and the Division of Art+Design Education have created a resource packet Advocacy Research to help educators support their art education programs in schools. We have compiled findings from research reports and articles that demonstrate the variety of reasons that art education is essential. Our hope is that you will find this a useful tool for discussing the importance of art education with your principals, school boards, community members, parents, and stakeholders.
